Nests

The Nests collection has been created for several years, from intuitive visualisation to conscious processing and development of the theme. I immerse myself in the nests that I inherited, into which I was born, in which I was brought up and which I create myself, for me and my family. I discover the form and shape of my nests, and also whether they are already open to exploration. I am gaining the courage to look inside, discover and decode this heritage.
I unveil the nests in the canvases with charcoal drawing, in black and white. I work with water, adding or removing layers to progress towards the final result. Gestural drawing is important to me in the uniqueness of the moment. I work with the knowledge that each stroke is created on the first attempt.
Nests are also created in colour versions, mainly in acrylic painting, or by combining different media.

The work was created as part of the ViemKTOsom (I know WHO I am) project. I let three girls, aged 10, 8 and 7, enter the underlying acrylic painting. They followed each other, had complete freedom of expression, and together we created a unique work.
