Welcome to Mara Ohman Gallery.
I am fascinated by the patterns that influence who we are, how we make decisions, and what important moments look like when the entire universe stops.
That is why I am working on “Decision-making bodies”.
The title of the collection is ambiguous, it can refer to human bodies that are currently making decisions or to external instances/entities that have the competence to make decisions.
Patterns, traditions, expectations, rituals, social constructs…
They are all soaked into our bodyminds, defining who we are.
I see these formative elements as Nests that we carry within ourselves.
